Hi, I’m Helena!

I work with teens and adults of diverse ages and genders experiencing life challenges. I work with acute stress, identity challenges, relational trauma, C-PTSD, sexual assault, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and challenges with self-esteem. One of my areas of strength is working with parents trying to understand and communicate with their kids or teens. I’m trained in narrative therapy, person-centred therapy, trauma-informed neurobiological approaches, and hypnotherapy.

Your story matters to me. You are not just in a mind and body, you are a person in a story, and the way you have lived yours is unique, valuable, and worth knowing.

I help hold a space where gentleness and deep listening wraps around what you’ve been through. I combine narrative therapy, neuroscience, and trauma-informed studies to create a conversation where your truth and your next steps of healing are best supported. I aim to non-pathologize your experience and help alleviate suffering leftover by the medical model which says there is something wrong with you.

I have been in practice since 2022, and continue to learn about the art of clinical therapy. I love what I do — I look forward to getting to know you and supporting you.

I am a settler with Welsh and Scottish ancestry on stolen Coast Salish territory where the Hul’qumi’num and SENCOTEN speaking peoples lands meet. I am a queer, cis woman and a therapist, activist, educator, athlete, singer, and auntie.

Please note a sliding scale is available should financial inequity or hardship be something you face. Please email to let me know.

Hi, I’m Kelsey!

I work with adults, teens, and pre-teens of all genders. I help clients navigate burnout, anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-worth, emotional regulation, and the exhaustion that can come from living within systems that ask us to disconnect from ourselves.

I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria, and I have additional training in EMDR.

I believe that healing is often a process of coming home to yourself. Together, we’ll gently unravel old patterns and stories, reconnect with what you long for, and create space for the parts of you that may have been pushed aside in the process of surviving.

My work is grounded in the understanding that none of us exist in isolation. I take a systems-informed approach, recognizing the ways capitalism, patriarchy, colonization, ableism, and other oppressive systems shape our lives and our mental health. I strive to create a space where your experiences make sense in the context of your life, rather than seeing them as something that needs to be “fixed.”

My approach is collaborative, relational, and trauma-informed. I draw from attachment theory, Emotion-Focused Therapy, somatic approaches, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR, coaching, and interpersonal therapy, always tailoring our work to your unique needs and preferences. Where it feels meaningful, I also enjoy weaving spirituality and ritual into the therapeutic process.

Over the past several years, I’ve worked in a variety of therapeutic settings, from supporting unhoused individuals navigating trauma, addiction, and reintegration after incarceration, to working with children and teens experiencing anxiety. I now run a private practice both online and in person on Salt Spring Island, where I have the privilege of supporting people as they move toward lives that feel more aligned, connected, and fulfilling.

Alongside my counselling practice, I also facilitate Girls Groups for girls Grades 5-8. These groups offer girls a place to slow down, connect, and be exactly who they are. Through nature connection, creativity, meaningful conversations, and ritual, we explore identity, belonging, emotions, friendships, confidence, and the transition into adolescence.

I work with clients of all identities and have experience in anti-oppressive practice and supporting queer and LGBTQIA2S+ communities. I grew up on so-called Salt Spring Island, on the unceded ancestral lands of the SENĆOŦEN- and Hul’q’umi’num-speaking Peoples. I am continually learning what it means to live, work, and practice with respect and accountability on these lands.

When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me cuddled up on the couch with a book or exploring this beautiful island with my daughter.
